THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

I am of course referring to the track, rather than the single. The reason I ask is years ago I was given a CD with 3 mixes I had never heard (all very long), and was told they were from a German promo CD?

Of course I could be talking bollox

That does sound about right, but I was told at least 8 years ago, and the disc had no writing on it.

Did the following ever get a commercial release?

More (power mix)
More (groove mix)

i have the power & groove mixes on the "temple of rarities" bootleg.

they're quite good actually - i prefer them to the official mixes, but they are very similar to each other.

were they from "tour thing" or something?

They were from the German promo mentioned above, not the Tour Thing promo. If I recall correctly, it was from 1993. Was the promo available at the Slight Case of Overbombing release party? Sometimes God Squad is mentioned to describe them.

As for being very similar: how were they different? At first listen, they sounded the same. Did I miss something? Why bother making an extra track if so similar?

The German and American releases of the CDsingle have maybe three seconds difference on the extended verion (= album version). If anyone needs to know the time, let me know. I think that I kept copies of both for some reason. at myself

The More power and groove mix 12" is pretty much the last thing I need to get to complete my Sisters collection of all the basic UK/German based releases.

I don't think I'm missing anything else now :D
