Sorry, I don't follow.. (why is it always the case?)
Is this for real? A joke? Someone got any more information about this?
I've got a 7" This Corrosion still sealed, the seller said it was a spanish promo.. but it doesn't say anything on the sleeve.. and I won't open it to check the vinyl.. bah!

I didn't notice you guys were talking in my back
This TP is actually very interesting... I already had the UK TP for the regular 7" and the SAM388 promo, but I was curious about this one because the labels don't have the usual 'A' and 'B' on the labels.
It's probably the TP for the plastic label version (grey or green), it's made of polysterene (thin & cheap) and has the same matrix numbers as the plastic version.
The seller had pre-ordered it from a record store back then and when This Corrosion was released, I guess they did not received the 7" yet, so test pressings were sent to the record shops and this person received that (if anybody has more info abou the slight delay of release let me know).

About the 7" Spanish promo for This Corrosion, there are 2 different versions... with or without DISCOS CBS on the record. the without DISCOS CBS is much much harder to find the the other. It would be nice to see which one you have

Certainly a interesting copy you bought.
I don't want to open it, but I noticed a matrix number on the sleeve: 248 217-7
WE 171
Did I mention it is with the original sleeve?
It would be great if someone would put up a page with all the pressings and such.. so people like me can gain a little knowledge.

From what you wrote, it seems more like you have a German pressing. The number on the sleeve will have a circled S after the number 248 217-7 and won't have the WE 171...
You can check the sleeve on my site at:

he he he You read in thoughts/actions... In the past month, I have been working on a new and improved version of the sompromo website. I made it with database and Coldfusion. It will look a bit similar to the current one with pictures and stuff, but you will be able to make searches by country, album, size (7", 12", LP, CD) and type (Regular, Promo, TP, acetate).
So far, everything works fine and I have been using it for a qhile... But I don't know when I will publish it on the web (it's on my home server). I need to find these 2-3 records that I've been looking for (just regular stuff) and once I have that, I'll try to find a host and voila... my hopes are for Xmas or the new year.
