Cool site. not sure about all those Russian Sisters records, though - I've got a crazy feeling that they aren't 100% official...

Hmmm...
This is from a Husker Du website
"Notes on Russian Bud Kon/Budkon label flexidisc series
Bearing the Cyrillic imprint "буд кон," these counterfeit 5.5" x 5.5" multicolor flexidiscs started turning up as far back as 1993, possibly even earlier. They are purportedly of Russian origin, but many people suspect that they are actually manufactured in Poland. All are mono, 45rpm. The label name is most commonly rendered in Roman characters as "Budkon," less often "BudKon" or "Bud Kon." Thousands of titles (one song per disc) have been issued, covering every band imaginable — literally ranging from ABBA to Zappa.
The sound quality of these recordings is flat-out awful. If you're old enough to remember what the flexis that occasionally came with Mad magazine in the 50s and 60s sounded like, you're on the right track. These are worse. Noise overwhelms signal, pitch is warbly, frequency range is minimal, and the disks don't lie flat. Definitely not recommended for use with a stylus that you value! "
.... hope this puts you off... As for musicstack.. its is the bollox.. I play out techno and its a god send when trying to track stuff down.. though some record stores need to get their feckin catalogs updated a bit quicker as there's been occasion when I've went to phone only to be told they didn't have it... not good...

And to think there's probably poor saps somewhere willing to spend £10 on a piece of plastic better used as a frisby and a dodgy photocopied cover...paint it black wrote:to add to that, originally known as polish postcard records, because that way western culture could be 'smuggled in' legit like

A better idea might be to write the name of the Sisters' song on a ten pound note.. punch a hole in it and play than on your record player...
The sound would probably be better!

You can turn your back on a person, but never turn your back on a drug, especially when its waving a razor sharp hunting knife in your eye
