robotic registrations - done by automatic scripts written by tedious 12 year olds with no friends. probably using their mum's pc while she is in the kitchen drinking cheap scotch and being shagged over the sink by the old man from next door...Hojyuu-obi wrote:What exactly are bot registrations?Quiff Boy wrote:i shall be doing some upgrades one evening this week that will stop the bot registrations and take us up to phpBB v2.0.10...

hopefully not.
a few slight graphical tweaks to the various themes just to tidy them up, and i'll probably scrap a couple of the ones that aren't used that much, but by and large its a back-end upgrade: add a couple of new security features and fix a few security holes, etc.
i've been meaning to upgrade for an age - we run 2.0.3 and the software is now up to 2.0.10
i've been a little remiss in keeping up to date
the only new feature as such is that when you register you will be shown a randomly created gif with a sequence of letters and numbers, and you will be asked to confirm the sequence. dead easy if you have eyes and can type, dead hard if your a shitty little script kiddy with nothing better to do...
