Live version feat Ofra Haza - Temple of Love

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Top Of The Pops Summer 1992, about a week before the NEC gig if I remember right. Nice performance by the boys and girl.

Makes me feel old though, I remember taping it at the time, getting all giddy.

Nice find. The Sisters sounded pretty damn good in 92.

Oh yes... last year of university... sat in kitchen hunched over video. one of my housemates notes that I've gone 'bright red'. it was that exciting.

I think they repeated it last year on TOTP2 as well (taped it then, not sure if I kept it though)

I've got a really, really, clear recording from the original broadcast, which I've converted to DVD. I'll get round to weeding it along with some other things at some point...

when it did appear on totp2 , the researchers hadnt realised that ms morrison had left the band (quite some time previously too)
they played the track with offra singing her heart out ( :notworthy: )and announced that it was ms morrisons birthday.
i am more likely to release an album before the sisters

It's featured on the Promo's & TV Apperances 84-91 dvd on the weeding section.

Obviously the dvd should really be titled Promos & TV Apperances 84-92
