well, I have a live dvd, and, well, visually it's not striking, but it sounds as good as on record...Erinyes wrote:what are they like live?

Hmm, so that would suggest I could put my CDs on at home and not travel to foreign parts without missing much?randdebiel² wrote:well, I have a live dvd, and, well, visually it's not striking, but it sounds as good as on record...Erinyes wrote:what are they like live?

probably, but then you won't have seen them, furthermore, they could have written new songs, or be just much more better than on the recording that I have....andymackem wrote: Hmm, so that would suggest I could put my CDs on at home and not travel to foreign parts without missing much?

47 euro, reservation included.
Dead Can Dance in a venue like Bozar is like a breath of fresh spring air, btw.
If you like them on CD, go see them live. The DVD is indeed not so spectacular, coz you miss the vibe and the atmosphere they spread during live concerts.
Seemingly nothing much going on, but you leave the venue with a weird content feeling, feeling ampty and clean
Now where's that other stash I've hidden somewhere??

So, mebbe you can help MoonChild then with one of those cheapo flights?
And BTW, for the Americanos here on board: I heard this rumour:
"09.05 Hollywood Bowl - Los Angeles - USA (last & full orchestral concert)"
FULL ORCHESTRAL! You peeps got all the luck

Well, it was really founded in the XIII century but - as most of the old churches in our region - it has been rebuilt many times.moonchild wrote:I really must go there...pikkrong wrote: Medieval cathedral, by the way
To avoid a diappointment you could check this site:

Riga? Hmm....
Why not. Maybe a boat-trip to Riga. All included
Pikkrong, are tickets still for sale?

Well, www.ryanair.com will oblige, and www.easyjet.com might help. Trouble is both will start from London Stansted which isn't particularly close to Portugal. I don't think either airline is flying to Riga direct from their continental hubs, and even if they were those hubs tend to be places like Milan, Barcelona, Frankfurt and other non-Portuguese types.Izzy HaveMercy wrote:andymackem wrote:Riga would be tempting, but sadly I'm busy that night as well. To make matters worse, flying to Stansted even renders a quick trip into London impractical: as airport descriptions go it's a tad misleading. File under Brussels-Charleroi or (a personal favourite) Paris-Amiens.
