Judging by the quality of most of the Sisters-remixes i've heared so far: NO!fiberlinewhore wrote:What do think about a 2005 remix album of S.O.M.?

what vicus said

I suppose it depends who the mixes are by.
Ultimately, like most of the people on this forum, I would far rather have
the "next" album than yet another retrospective release.
I keep telling mself that after 17 years I'm through with the Sisters, and
waiting for some phantasm of a release.
Yet here I am posting again.
And I know that as soon as the next live dates go up on the site I will be
reaching for my credit card and an old schedule of trains.
Doh!
Not even the sense I was born with...

Ugh!!! I hate and despise remixes.
Usually the band has no involvement whatsoever. Some jumped-up little runt with a turntable mucks about woith the song and hey presto, one remix that bears little resemblance to the original and with lots of stupid additional sounds added.
If the band themselves (the band in question being Andrew Eldritch. Any other band members are transitory and barely relevant) want a new version then I'd much rather they did it themselves.
Well, I'd rather they recorded some new songs.

A Reggae version of Nine While Nine would be interesting, Izzy can you help?

Banging techno remixes please.
They've been heading that way live for a bit anyway. More EBM than goth. Thank f**k.

Finally downloaded your mix Izzy. Worth the wait, and all. I'm more than happy to hear people f**k around with history, so long as it's done good.
Marvellous work Sir. May I recommend Temple at several billion BPM as your next project?
