In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Hell ya. I've seen quite a few infamous local clubs go through this sad transformation(as well as closing altogether)in order to cater to the mainstream masses.....and fail in the longrun. City Gardens, a club/concert hall here in New Jersey that served to be a haven for a countless number of punk/goth and industrial acts, also suffered a similar fate.
I believe VNV Nation are the first uncoventional "band" Avalon have booked since it opened as such. Though VNV are no stranger to the Limelight days. I've seen them perform there in '98/'99. Good show.
