What do YOU want on your headstone?

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Substitute she for he etc. And husbands are life-partners too.

Never mind the politics, feel the love.
And you know that she's half crazy but that's why you want to be there.

My friends would put on my stone " now you're a real goth "

for my self I do not care, when i'm dead, i'm dead, show why should i think of what i would like on my tomb stone ?

The same as the question "what for music do you want to be played on your funeral.

I leave that to my famely, for all I care they play some dutch folk polka music. at least people will cry then !

I'd have either...

"I told you I was ill..."

or, in really small letters...

"If you can read this, you're standing on my bollocks!"

Thanks to Billy Connolly for the second one, can't remember where I heard the first one though.

no headstone

just a tree
Dim, through the misty panes and thick green light,
As under a green sea, I saw him drowning.

I'd like a trigger switch that prompts a mechanical hand to rise from the Earth and claw at the ankles of passers-by.

Don't care what the tombstone says if I can have that.

It could be worse .... I could be in Basildon.

On a related note, Essex Police community unit went into schools in Basildon and encouraged kids to produce upbeat slogans for their town.

One of the shortlisted ones was "Basildon: because you're worth it".

I find that works on so many levels.
