Marian?

And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. if I remember correctly (and these days, with encroaching senility, it's difficult) she was a girl from Hamburg that Von was having a fling with whilst in the final days of his exisiting relationship. She was probably not called Marian, but the name fits the lyrics and also references the Cohen song.

Edit: I think she was from Hamburg anyway. I do remember back in the early 90s that Von announced that "Marian" would not be played live in Hamburg for "personal reasons".

In another interview Von said that "The song drives her (Marian) boyfriend crazy".
