Dani from Cradle of Filth comes in 4th only because he is so incredibly gay. First of all, there is no black metal band that has sold out quite like Cradle of Filth. Secondly, there is no other black metal band that loves to have pictures taken of them as much as Cradle of Filth. And lastly, Dani always has to be doing something stupid and/or gay in virtually all of the band photos. Why? Well, he's obviously watched Interview With a Vampire one too many times. The theatrics just need to stop. This is one of his few un-photoshopped pics. STOP IT! Also, Cradle of Filth is from Helsinki, Sweden.
I was a massive COF fan when Principle of Evil came out but each album after that got more and more disappointing. I remember reading an interview with them in long defunct Ultrakill magazine and they said they would never sell out or release a single as they were so underground(chortle). They also kept going on about how many of the Scandanavian BM musicians they knew. Well I met one of their guitarists (COF) a few years ago and asked him what had gone wrong with their last album ("midian" I think), and he said that double bass drumming was "a bit too Norweigan". Ho hum.....
Black metal still rules for me I'm afraid James, no matter how many silly pics you can find.....
P.S. Haven't we seen some of those Immortal ones before?

Entombed are death metal or "death n' roll" as they describe it! Have you heard "Wolverine "Blues" by them? That's my favourite oneJames Blast wrote:I take it this doesn't count BoF? cause I really like this one

The only thing I bought by Entombed is the 'limited to 2000 copies only splatter white-red vinyl' version of 'Left Hand Path'. Oh my gawd where is the time???Brideoffrankenstein wrote:Entombed are death metal or "death n' roll" as they describe it! Have you heard "Wolverine "Blues" by them? Or go HERE, and buy the aforementioned and absolutely DELETED Avatar-CD!
WITH reviews! Man, I really love this!
"This is probably the best black metal release since Samael's "Ceremony of Opposites", and believe me, that is saying something."
"In all honesty, I wish more bands on the scene will take their cue from Avatar instead of this over produced, whiney, black metal bu lls hit. Avatar, I salute you for making some of the best black metal that has been recorded!"
Sniff......
