It's 2 minutes past midnight.

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Gawd, that was a s**t one. Just stayed in with the 'rents, and complained about all the 'regional' programming on the Beeb (never so ashamed to be Scottish as when I watch some of that tartan tripe on Hogmanay. And that's what people come here for?) Then I bemoaned the State Of Modern Music These Days as we watched Natasha bloody Bedingfield on Jools' Hootenany.

In between we missed the New Year (the bells confuse us), I drank some water out of a fancy glass and decided I really needed to get Aqualibra next year, ate some shortbread and worried about fireworks.

Happy f**king New Year.

I suppose this year will be just the same as the last one : full of woe, tragedy and misery...

Still, mustn't grumble

Well, I'll buck the Heartland trend

1. I start a new job on Tuesday, which I'm really looking forward to
2. Yesterday I won a competition online at SuperVert - so I should be getting a copy of Extraterrestrial Sex Fetish through my letter box in a week or two.

I'm gonna shock you here Boudicca, but I rather enjoyed all that 'tartan tripe' on Hogmanay (thanks to Sky for giving me access to BBC Scotland down here). Must be something to do with being away from home at this time of year <sniff>, cos I never used to enjoy it much.

I actually only tuned in for 'Only an Excuse' and 'Chewin the Fat' but the hoochter-teuchter stuff afterwards really surprised me, there were some fine performances in there.

It's fiction about a guy who gets off on aliens (an "alien sex fiend" ). It sounded interesting so I entered the competition - just an academic interest in novel perversions :innocent:

'Chewin the Fat' - pure quality, man!

Unfortunately, the rest was s**t. Fortunately, I was too drunk to care.
