OAE is pretty good - it must be because I laugh at it and I know absolutely f**k-all about football. Chewin' the Fat would be funny, but their portrayals of Glasgow's finest are sometimes a little too affectionate for my liking. The neds never get killed.DerekR wrote:I'm gonna shock you here Boudicca, but I rather enjoyed all that 'tartan tripe' on Hogmanay (thanks to Sky for giving me access to BBC Scotland down here). Must be something to do with being away from home at this time of year <sniff>, cos I never used to enjoy it much.boudicca wrote: ...the 'regional' programming on the Beeb (never so ashamed to be Scottish as when I watch some of that tartan tripe on Hogmanay...
I actually only tuned in for 'Only an Excuse' and 'Chewin the Fat' but the hoochter-teuchter stuff afterwards really surprised me, there were some fine performances in there.
At least there was nothing with Elaine C. Smith in it...

Awww - why not? Its interesting for us newbies to see what was going on before we got here - and how things come about
Mind you - you were a bit of a misery weren't you
I never talk during music, at least during good music. If one hears bad music, it is one's duty to drown it in conversation.

I still am miserable a lot, even more than back then really, but I've learned not to inflict it on you all, and just scream along to WYDSM, and then talk to my morose friends on MSN.
You guys get my good moods.

Bless you.You guys get my good moods.
It wasn't meant as a criticism though. Nowt wrong with wallowing in misery - although I tend to wait until my husband's out before I do...no point putting us both through it
Carry on young man
