NME Quiz - help needed!

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Happy New Year everybody...

I realise that it might not exactly be most Sisters fans favourite publication, but I'm stuck on a few answers in this year's NME Christmas Quiz - driving me a bit crazy actually - ANY sensible help re the following questions would be VERY gratefully received;

What connected the following in 2004?
Stereophonics, The Strokes + Red Hot Chilli Peppers.

About whom (3 different acts) did NME sub-editors pen these headlines in 2004;
Get Your Hits Out For The Dads
Cold Mounting
Not A Dry Eye In The House

(thought that somebody somewhere might have kept back-issues of NME this year for some bizarre reason - these 3 headlines are definitely pre-July 2004)

In 2004, which 3 x NME type acts dressed up as;
A variety of sportsmen
Naked England fans
The Wicked Witch Of The West

This could be in a music video etc...

BIG THANKS IN ADVANCE...

Did they all loose a band member perhaps?
