Heartland's 3rd Birthday Bash

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

For the rain...or for some obscure ritual the likes of which I'll never comprehend?

Or just to mark me out as the gullible newbie?

Should be a good night. :innocent:
Loki was never worshiped as the other Gods,
Which is quite understandable.

Heh. I'm an Architect in training by profession, but I've dabbled with a few fields, and I'm not above some bedroom autopsies. Why'd you ask?

Scientisty...? That's a new one. I've never heard of someone's profession being identified from their appearence...well, except bouncers.

Wise choice. I'd maintain that if the Police ask you, too, please...

Umbrellas are badass? Dear Me, I'm behind the times...

Talking semi-seriously here, can anyone recommend reasonable and local hotels for the weekend? I'm planning to bother a Leeds-born student friend for advice, but you mob have done this before, so I'm bowing to your superior knowledge.

I cannot stand this leetspeak, to be honest. It's humourous in terms of bash.org, but that's about it...

@ timsinister: we (friends and me) are staying at the Morlea. But the first time I was in Leeds I stayed at the "City Center" hotel. Don't ask me about phone numbers or other means of contact for either - I don't have 'em - but I was happy at both places. More sensitive people than I tend to say though that the city center is a bit noisy during night times, if you have the wrong room (windows on street side). On the other hand, the Morlea isn't exactly opposite the train station, so you have to walk about 20 minutes to get there, if I remember correctly. The prices at both were/are reasonable, as far as I'm concerned (Morlea single standard for £ 30 per night currently). I've never found a "cheap" (in terms of money) place to stay (besides friends flats) anywhere in the UK, but the English breakfast usually is excellent.

best wishes, Eva.
You can't fix stupid.
