I can't give so many money for a 7". I don't buy vinyl any more. We live in a digitale world now! But there are a few vinyls where I'm proud of.

Mrs Ed had one through her first husband. She has subsequently given it away.

The story I heard is that although 1000 were pressed they were distributed to record shops (through Red Rhino IIRC) on a sale-or-return basis. So that about 980 of them came back to and Gary. However, the alarming regularity with which it turns up on ebay suggests that either:paint it black wrote:who's gonna fess up to having DD then, and how many were made

a) the band (read Von) have been slowly dripping them back into circulation over the years and cashing in on the "rarity" value
b) there's a "better" bootleg version out there which doesn't have the cover subtly wrong.
And no, I don't have a copy.

good point christophe
option d: that it's the same copy being repeatedly bought and sold again and again on ebay

I think Red Rhino/Merciful Release put the remaining copies back on the market in 1982, when the Sisters started to make their first real impact on the music scene, (most of the people who bought there copies back then always say they bought them in 1982.)markfiend wrote:The story I heard is that although 1000 were pressed they were distributed to record shops (through Red Rhino IIRC) on a sale-or-return basis. The alarming regularity with which the 7" turns up on eBay, I think, has more to do with a) the ever growing popularity of eBay (just think of some of the figures being spent there on bootlegs, Test Pressings and what not) b) people who bought there copies for £10-20 back then wanting to cash in. ...
Still I don't think I've seen more than 30 copies over the years on eBay which still isn't anywhere near a 1000 ... (just my 2 cents ).
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?

As long as I remember it's been set at a value of £150, even back in the "old days" (?).
The question is.. how much did you pay for your Damage Done? And when?

£370.00!
Does anyone remember the scouse guy that used to have a bootleg/legit record stall, on Leeds 2nd hand market in the mid-late 80's?
I remember seeing Damage Done on his stall back then for £50.00, & thinking that was expensive.
