BMI - Repertoire

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Just checking out Eldritch's songwriting credits at the BMI, and there are songs there i have never heard of, maybe this is a glitch in the site, cause some of them are listed under andrew taylor, so maybe they have mixed the two!

How strange. 10 songs listed under Andrew Harvey William Taylor along with Peter Hemsley and Gordon Ingram. 8 songs with Peter Hemsley and Graham Ingram. Another Andrew Harvey William then? What are the odds?

Edited: Found them: http://www.musicstack.com/search/jazz+devils

Andy Taylor
As lead vocalist with The Jazz Devils, Andy wrote and produced two albums for Virgin, the second one with guitarist Robbie Blunt recorded in Philadelphia, USA. After leaving the band he spent the next couple of years travelling through the heartland of the deep South, sitting in with bar bands and amassing a great collection of rare blues and cajun recordings.

It's a neat trick...recieving monies for songs you haven't written. It'd certainly keep the wolf from the door and negate the need to release more albums. Money for old rope one might suggest.
