I want a holiday in the sun

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

seriously though, a couple of friends visited dachau while ago and said it was an amazing experience. scary, and very sobering, but at the same time they said that it also left them with the feeling that the trip had been a very positive and life affirming experience.

i must admit that i'd prefer scarborough though :D

Somewhere south of Cadiz 03-07 March to chill and get some sun. Unfortunately I won't be learning to surf as you need to be a cross between The Man From Atlantis and Billy The Fish to tackle even a three foot wave ...

Athens 15/16 March for a 'management meeting ...'

Plus four days in the garden leading up to Easter in an attempt to hack through the undergrowth. Otherwise I'll just run an ebay search on the U.S Military Surplus To Requirements site for 'Agent Orange.' :innocent:

I was there almost seven years ago now (how old am I?!). Being a glass-half-empty kinda person myself, I wouldn't say it was a life-affirming experience for me at all. Especially not with history being cyclical, and mankind being so shortsighted towards both the future and the past. But regardless, I believe it's a necessary experience.

Anyhoo, I'm off to New Orleans in June, cos it'll be unbearably hot and therefore cheaper. 8)

Plans?

Only the Heartland gathering in February and

http://www.comune.lavagna.ge.it/ for the Easter days.

Nothing scheduled for later, cause you never know what life offers (whether the Sisters will wake up or not etc. etc...)

I need to get out of here: We have snow now, it is freezing 2 degrees below zero and I'm just not made for that kind of weather....

By the way: What's it like in Leeds at the moment?

Eva.

Well, at least I don't expect any better in Leeds - or Glasgow, for that matter... ;D 8)

Another question: Any good clothing stores in Leeds? I still need a very warm very cosy very long black winter coat...

Cheers, Eva.

depends on what you mean by "good" :?:

we have some very expensive department stores (harvey nichols etc) and some very expensive designer boutiques.... but not much in the way of army/navy surplus stores

forget the designer stores and boutiques etc.! I'm broke since I've started to follow the Sisters and made friends abroad, and I'll never be rich and famous.

No cheap clothing stores? But it's supposed to be LEEDS and not Milan or Paris FFS!

So where do you natives get your clothes? Don't tell me you're travelling down to London each time you need a new pair of knickers.... :urff:
