Curve have finally finished.

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

This means everyone has to be nice to me and not call my zombie-seaweed hair "blue" ever again 'cos I might die and then you'll feel bad.

Dear Miss Zombie-Seaweed Hair 'Green' you are so wrong about Curve, as are you Mrs. Lost Fingernail and Rhinestone ;)

Yeah, but you're a Mac user. Everyone knows Macs run a "hidden" programme that makes mac users think they know stuff. Stops them remembering they were hugely overcharged for their machine

That's because boots only do crap hairdye that makes your hair fall out. I use Directions which makes your hair all shiny and nice and funny coloured.

The records were good (well, the early ep's and the first lp - a bit hit or miss later) but they were diabolical live.

No, I saw them on the Cuckoo tour and they were one of my great live experiences.

They were supposed to be supporting the Sisters at the NEC 92 gig and pulled out. I couldn't get to the gig AFTER I'd bought the damn tickets.

Then they were supposed to be playing at Reading in 96. And pulled out.

So I never got to see them live.

Although I did see Scylla, the band Toni had in 1995 and she signed a load of my Curve records for me then. All I remember about Scylla is that there were two blond chicks playing guitar and it all sounded just like Curve.

I saw them in Cardiff around the time of 'The Coast is Clear' and found them flat and uninspiring (the record was excellent though). I didn't see them again until the Brixton Academy in about 1991. They were embarrassing.

This is definitely sad news for me. Curve's one of my top 5 fave bands. But, I'll always have their great albums to listen to. My favorite is probably "Come Clean".
My name is Deirdre and I'm a music nerd.
