Anyone using Soulseek?

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

I couldn't possibly comment

Woot! Got bittorrent working, and managed to get it through work's firewall. Just one question; I've downloaded a couple of things already; how long after you've downloaded something should you leave it "up" on the BT client to carry on seeding it?

That's really up to you. If you're downloading off somewhere like Easytree then leave it open as long as you can as they monitor the download vs Upload amounts. If it goes too low then you won't be able to download any more.

For other stuff I usually leave it open only as long as I'm downloading for unless there are only a handful of Seeds and a lot of people downloading. It really depends. I use my PC for online gaming and leaving BT or Soulseek running while gaming causes a lot of lag problems.
