March Violets - website updated

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

The March Violets were a great band......a really great band. They were labelmates with The Sisters of Mercy, yet darker and infinitely more messed up than them, and through constant gigging they became integral to the whole Leeds/M62 scene in the early/mid 1980s. We loved them, John Peel loved them, and we assume you loved them too. That's why you're here after all

The website has been online for a while now and has been something of success in terms of giving interested parties a place to find out about this most enigmatic of Leeds’ bands, raising their profile, jogging a few memories, collecting and collating old photos, and even getting a few of the old band back in touch with other.

All of which is rather marvellous, but we’ve received a few suggestions recently about creating a forum or guestbook so that people viewing the site can leave comments, ask questions, share anecdotes and memories, etc.

We think this is a splendid idea.

Thus we present you with the March Violets forum.

You’re looking at it now. Its small and neat, and we think its rather groovy.
