Near Hannover, close enough to stay there and come on the train if needs be. To an English person, German trains are very scary as they go where they're meant to, when they're meant to.

Unless I CAN convince (or lie) my darling wife to let us drive there - 'No no no, course we won't go near the Dam, it's not even on the way'. Hmmm.
I started scouring the web for cheapo cash-strapped-student-friendly flights, but it appears EasyJet won't be scheduling a special black plane with the Merciful Release logo on the tail anytime soon.
The more I think about it...
