For young people/People who still think they're young.

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Does anyone remember that rhyme from school/markfiends house?

First the worst
second the best
Third the hairy princess
Fouth the golden Eagle
Fifth the shepherds pie???

What was the rest? It just popped into my head a few mins ago and it's bugging me what the rest of it was.

Fanks.

What are you on? Is it like this?

One for sorrow, two for joy,
Three for a girl, four for a boy,
Five for silver, six for gold,
Seven for a secret never been told.

It's still a counting rhyme. And no, not one I've ever heard of. (And I'm ignoring the homework crack. Except to say that I once had a school report saying "Mark will fail English Lit. 'O'-level if he is really determined to do so." )

I remember a rhyme that went

"first the worst
second the best
third the one with the hairy chest"
further counting than three is beyond my recollection.

That's the one we had at my school too. Anything beyond three could be squabbled about for hours on end.
