I'll be the proudest Dad alive if either of my boys turn out like that. F**king ace.
Cool name too, but you have to wonder what these bands and band members would do for names without LOTR for inspiration.

Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

They are one of the old school Black Metal Bands, and have been an inspiration for a lot of metal crap to follow in their footsteps.
They made rather decent BM, actually, and although they pretended to have the Norwegian way of thinking (kill all christians, burn churches, it is all about boots and leather and studs and spikes and clown make-up etc...), they were really OK blokes. We played with them somewhere in 1992, and they are what a lot of BM bands are: just a bunch of musicians with an 'alter ego' on stage and in the press.
Ah, days long past they are....
IZ.

Didn't Gorgoroth run foul of the Polish authorities after one of their stage shows featured naked women being crucified?
Might have been in the Pope's home town, for added relish. Polish TV weren't allowed to screen the film of the gig that they'd been working on and the lead singer was due to face court proceedings.
