Phono on Friday

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Anyone know what's on at the Phono this Friday? I can feel a night-out coming on. 8) Or anywhere else in Leeds for that matter.

no idea about phono on friday - they have the "friday flock" the 1st friday of the month, but i dont know what their regular friday is... paul? :?:

wendy house is this saturday, but its awful, cheese and pop masquerading as an alternative night.

:urff:

ok, some goths go and they do play dominion around about the middle of the evening but is it worth it to sit through 4 hours of darkness, queen, nin (the obvious one) and bon jovi?

i kid you not.

try the cockpit - smallest room is 80s indie & alt stuff, middle room is scary metal & biggest room is generic alt stuff (manson, beck, nin, etc - like wendy house but without the cheese)

the cockpit is great and the dj in the small room is a frustrated goth - he's always after any excuse to play joy division, the chameleons & the sisters :D;D

Cheers QB - yeah I love The Cockpit too, I was after an alternative really. Wendyhouse sounds marv :urff: though the techno room sounds right up my street, to be honest. Decisions decisions...

Must start previewing my mistypes.

Excuse me, excuse me...that insulting tone could not possibly be directed toward the Jersey Four. I will not allow it.

Well that's that sorted. Tkts for Wendyhouse are bought, so it's a night of banging industrial techno and vodka. :D :notworthy:

Warning about the general gist of the place taken on board QB, and looking at some of the photos, a night of serious dressing-down is called for. Now where's that tatty old Overbombing tour shirt? 8)
