where did the 'Black Planet' website go?

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Hey people, here 's a new face y'all!

I'm a fullblooded Sisters affecionado for about 15 years by now, seen 'm do some shows over the years and I stack a whole lotta records in my shack!

Now that it starts to rumble again, I cannot stay undercover anymore! So, beware... evildoers of the world...beware!

...and now, to launch another one of those block rockin' questions:

where the hell did the Black Planet website go? It had a great (and very useful) bootleg list on it, that I frequently checked. Any news on that?

The domain hasn't expired, the DNS seems OK but server seems to be unreachable.

Maybe you can get the info you require from here.

Oh, an welcome!

Yeah I'd noticed it has been down for a while... I've been referring to it through the webarchive as Lucien suggests.

tanx a bunch for these enlightenments...

I've been looking for the Discography-book that Andrew Pinnel wrote, but couldn't find it anywhere. And last year, good ol' Uncle Sister told me it never saw an official release... (a book about bootlegs isn't exactly the stuff the recordlabelboys like to support, can you dig that?!)

So, I can use those bootleg-listings very good thank you...

too bloody right! it currently only accounts for 3.23% of my bandwidth, whereas my sisters site counts for 23.74%.

Visit PiB's site. Then visit mine. :innocent:

Last time I asked Y he told me he had made a newer version (i.e. updated and redesigned) of his website, but it was still sitting on his HD ... he also mentioned something about having talked with QB of making it a part of the HL forum (IRRC) ...

i recall someone asking if it was possible, but i dont recall Y himself actually mentioning it.

if yanick has a new site (or even a copy of his old one) i'm more than happy to see if i can provide somewhere for him to upload it. it was a great archive and i'm sure many people found it an interesting and valuable sisters info resource 8)
