"Where Are They Now?" Sure you want to know?

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Scroll through the 80s Who's Who list, courtesy of The Guardian. Looks like Rick Astley is the only one who's laughing these days...

Rick Astley started his career as a tea-boy at Pete Waterman's studio.

Rather than splashing his royalty cheques on Ferraris and the like, he invested it all. Hence the £10 million now.

But even they were better than Rick Astley. Then again, how hard was that?

Look, as you well know, that is only in my collection because it was in the middle of a sealed 10 records for £1 pack that had the Icicle Works on one side and <ahem> Ghostbusters on the other :P

Jealous, that's all, jealous...

That "Never Gonna Give You Up" song by Rick Astley is my first musical memory.

Along with a Belinda Carlisle song, Simply the Best by Tina Turner, and the 80's version of "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother".

Steve Strange looks better without the makeup, not that he was ever very pretty, anyway. And Adam Ant looks as though he prefers to dress like Johnny Depp these days.

Although Rick Astley had a hell of a voice - as he proved when he broke away from SAW.

Could have been a Harry Connick Jnr type crooner.

Although 10mil in the bank he can afford to laugh at 'credible' artists scratching a living from the goth nostalgia tours. ahem. :innocent:

Ufffz, what a relief! Scrolling through, I was afraid to find Our Man there, exposed amongst these casualties with a unbecoming before/after pic. Glad, his "minor stardom" prevents him from such humiliations.

BTW, does anyone know, what Adam Ant suffers from exactly?

Nope you've got it very wrong there.

A person is sectioned dependant on the risks of their harming them selves or others. There are no conditions or syndromes where a person is automatically sectioned.

Also if sectioned, sometimes you can still live in the community, under licence.

A section wouldn't be for life anyway. You have to review it on a regular basis

I think Mister Ant is a voluntary admission anyway

Thankee for the lecture, ed, I always like to brush up on forensic psychiatry here and there.

I may recapitulate, we can all be very happy, that Mr. Ant is in safe custody.
