standout concerts... know any?

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

All part and parcel of the 'pleasure' of watching The Sisters in full flow. 8)

Absolutely - wouldn't have missed it for the world - and it gives me a little anecdote to bore my friends with (not that they know, or care, who the Sisters were/ are, but I tell them anyway).

@markfiend - very enterprising  I'm sure that kept you warm!

Not as sore as it could have been, and it took me the whole game to recover from the day before. :urff:

I think I ought to clarify: I didn't actually join in with the rent-boying.  In fact, I spent quite some time trying to convince a pimp I wasn't trying to "trade" on his territory. :urff:

I choose rent boy then. That way I can avoid sleeping with them by turning out my pockets and exhibitting a lack of spare change ;)

Yep, me too, as recently described in some other thread. Maybe the one about possible warm-up gigs this summer?

Nothing to weed except memories, my friend

How's about this one then - Joseph's Well '97? The worst ticket-scam ever. Dodgy Goths distributing tickets to the crowd in the bar. I walk up, ask for three, he looks at me in my LUFC shirt and says "No.". Fair enough. Notice that at the way in the tickets are then collected and then thrown on the floor. Get in the queue, "fasten my shoelace" and magically come back up with three tickets. Distribute accordingly and then smile at the same dodgy Goth on the door as I present my "new" ticket and walk into the hall. Serves him right.

He works in Joseph's Well as it happens (or at least he used to; I haven't been down for a few months since it turned into a kindergarten.)

The Cockpit. Of course. I knew I recognised him from somewhere.
