I just saw a famous person

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Can't sneeze without bumping into Nick Cave here in Brighton & Hove.

And Tom Baker. And Chris Eubank. And a load of others.

I bumped into Rolf Harris about seven years ago.

I also bumped into Rick Wakeman.

I think they're classed as celebrities :innocent:

I've frequently bumped into Tom Barman (dEUS) and Mauro Pawlowski (Evil Superstars) here in Antwerp, but I guess they are only 'worldfamous' in Belgium.

I've seen Eddy Wally though, and he most definitely is worldfamous. :D

Sometime in the past doesn't count, this is an ongoing project. Or something.

Eddy, in antwerp

What on earth was he doing around here

About famous persons, well, as Antwerp is the centre of the world, you get to see some celebrities every day around here  (don't remember when the last time I saw a real famous person was, though) This morning I have seen Marcel Vantilt, an old mtv-presenter, and famous overhere, but then, he isn't worth a lot :D

And I went to school with several "famous" people.

I've also worked with some, depending on how you define famous: would Margie Clarke count as famous? Or Donovan?

Matt McGuin (Scottish Folkie, now RIP, on a train from Glasgow Central to Croftfoot)
Billy Connolly (on the steps of the famous Glasgow Apollo, 1974/5)
John Hawkin (keyboard player for two albums with The Strawbs, outside The Kelvin Hall, just before their gig)
Edwyn Collins (after the 'bells' in a street in Edinburgh, 1981)
Mike McNeil (keyboards, Simple Minds in Henry Africas, Glasgow)
Kenny Hislop (drummer, The Zones, Simple Minds, Set The Tone)
the girl that played Karen Grant in Brookside (Gatwick Airport)
Ian Astbury, I really did bump into him and sent him flying (London, 1982)
Youth, Geordie, Jaz and the Pandemonium tour drummer (Glasgow Garage, I was in the loo, they were in the dressing room, both camps emerged at the same time)
Fergus Hall (designed two King Crimson album covers and the tarot cards for that Bond movie with Jane Seymore in, actually went for a few pints with him, he was my mates art teacher)

I met Trash Light Vision (with Acey Slade from the Murderdolls on vocals) and got their signatures and one of the drummer's sticks.

I didn't have the heart to tell him I prefer drum machines to drummers most of the time.

I mean, some of the greatest bands used a drum machine in their best songs...
The Sisters (Floorshow)
The March Violets (Walk Into The Sun)
Suicide (Rocket USA)
Black Wire (Attack! Attack! Attack!)
