Use SSH and do it from home. I've even got a Bittorrent session running on my Linux desktop at work. Been on holiday for 6 days and still have managed some decent downloads.Dave R wrote:................am I the only sad f**ker at work today?????

normally ssh and a rather fine java vpn mean i can work from anywhere, but for today, stuck in the office with the aircon on full and the music on full!
hey, it sure beats the traffic riots that come with every bank holiday!

Just work through the day, and you'll be sure to get revenge afterwards

I was pleasantly surprised when I realised what day it was.
Not having to faff about and do worky things, I went to the cinema instead. HHGTTG is very good

I've heard...conflicting reports.
Speaking as a very long-term, very devoted fan, I thought it was absolutely beautiful.timsinister wrote:I've heard...conflicting reports.
I wasn't too sure about it, but it's actually really amazingly good. Just try to remember that just because the film isn't identical to the t.v. show or book or radio show, that's not really a bad thing. The book was different to the radio show, the tv show was different to the book, and the film is different to the lot of them - HHGTTG just keeps evolveing.
there's plenty of loving tributes to previous versions (Won't go into that in case of spoilers - but if you wanna be geeky, there are some great ones to look out for!)
It's very Douglas...

Good. I've been debating whether or not to bother. I wasn't sure whether it would be Douglas enough.d00mw0lf wrote:It's very Douglas...
