New Sisters Tour Name?

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Got there in the end.
Very possibly the very first 'Punk' single released' 30 years has not dulled its visceral delights.
Send me an address and I'll pop a porkie in the post :D
Anyway; 30 minutes is probably a short set even for a festival slot but that was the idea....

I think that we can be quite certain on both the chronology and the reason why it might be a slightly knowing, tongue in cheek, Sisters type tour name.

I doubt that The Simpsons are likely to sit alongside Eliot, Goethe, Dylan, Lemmy et al in Von's literary and musical references anytime soon, or indeed ever :innocent:

Okokok.... I give up.
I admit that I watched more Simpsons than listened to Pere Ubu lately...

I never talk during music, at least during good music. If one hears bad music, it is one's duty to drown it in conversation.

How about "Alcohol Is Cheap Psychiatry"?
.... there is no semblance of rock 'n roll around here!

"An old man in a dry month" ?

"A dry brain in a dry season" ?

Or maybe just "Gerontion"--it *is* a rather interesting Greek word.

Ok, I'll go back into my hiding.

But I still think it'd be hilarious if the new Reptile House shirts said "We serve an old man in a dry season."

So i dreamt about TSOM last night, there was gonna be a gig down the road and i had tickets and a backstage pass and everything which is just great but then it turns into one of them s**t anxiety dreams where you can't find anything you need, can't get ready in time, can't get there etc etc.

I never made it to the gig, the only thing i had was a poster and the name of the tour was 'Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em' which did rather amuse me! :von:

Instead of "Gerontion" i suggest the "Gerontas of Leeds"...

My humble and modest proposal is:
