i dont know about anyone else but i like being awake when theres nothing to do-its the only time i get to "relax" and/or get things done.as for "E" without it yould only be left with "spd"

Bollocks to 'em.

I saw Patsy many moons ago playing with the Gun Club and she had it. Von knew it which why HE asked HER to help out with Gift / Floodland.

There are public sides to why that didn't work out in the long run, and I have no private insight, but it should be remembered that she was brought in because of her talent. She's certainly better than Tony James...

Isn't bass one of the simpler instruments to play - no chords, just notes? Anyway, she went pretty far for an allegedly unskilled musician. In fact, I believe there are heaps of relatively technically inefficient rockers around.

the thought of anyone being "technically efficient" scares me. i wouldnt want to be in a band with a technically efficient musician

but you can have bass chords, technically. but they're all a bit jazz odyssey

Right

Bass ranges from very simple to incredibly complex

At the simple edge would be eight to the bar notes and maybe the simpler plinky plonky stuff

Next you go into scales which start quite basic and can develop into the incredibly tricky riffs and licks.

Funk and Jazz bass is quite complex (Bootzy Collins, Marcus Miller)

Jaco Pastorius played the bass like a lead instument, he was a God.

Lemmy tends to play chords (having started out as a rhythm guitarist), a lot of what you think is the guitar in Motorhead is actually the bass.

It was the 80's.
She had good hair.
In addition to being one very foxy lady.
She may or may not have been able to play bass.
Does it matter?

No, you sent me Gift after I requested it in the trading section. You're quoting a very old post there. Belive me, I've listened to Gift many many times.
