Hello
Went to a second hand record store today called the "Little moscow music company" and picked up a couple of sisters bargains (Lucretia 12 inch - £4.00, More 12 inch gatefold CD - £5.00) and also the debut and only album by a band called Under Neath What, titled "What is it".
I have had this on tape for at least 15 years but at £3.00 for the record it was a bargain.
I remember seeing them at Banbury united football club when i was about 15, clambering on stage in my sisters T, dancing about a bit and then stage diveing straight onto the floor (oh the fun we had when we where young!).
Anyway, not knowing much about this lot except its a damn fine record I looked them up on the net, and what do I find, they supported the Sisters on a european tour in 1990 and missed out on a wembley gig with them in 1991 because of record label problems to a band called the Mothers.
As I am well aware the net is allergic to .....bah blah blah, does anyone remember this band? has anyone other than me ever heard this record?
Does anyone even want to hear it?
It might jog your memory that they caused a bit of controversy with their single "Firebomb Telecom" which I recall seeing on the chart show at the time (1990ish)
All the best.
Paul

I don't have the album but the name certainly sounds familiar... I think I may have one of their tracks on a some compilation album or other.

Saw them a few times. Liked the album but I lost it years ago.
My best mate Neale might even be the one that put them on in Banbury. He did a few of those things at the football club, he worked for Hunters club so he put them on a few times.
Underneath What supported Balaam a bit I seem to recall.

It was probably on the summer 1990 UK tour.
Give me one good reason
That support band was 'Loud', maybe it was the dates they did in the autumn?Spiggy's hat wrote:Ditto.slicepack wrote:Saw them supporting the Nephilim, when dinosaurs roamed the earth.James Blast wrote:I remember hearing of them and thinking "what sort of a name for a band is that"? never heard them tho

I'm sure my Sis said one of her work colleagues in Indonesia was the bass player, back in 1999.
