i'm sure this must have been done(to death)elsewhere(...pretends to look dilligently..stops pretending...)but is "goodthings" a TSOM original?if so is there one good reason why it was never released?i've got a few "sessions" versions, the best appearing on a bootleg 7" which credits the writing to stooges (or velvet underground-can't remember off the top of my head)which i'm pretty certain's bull s**t

Yes it is original, one of the first lot of songs they used to play in fact. It was recorded for the 2nd Peel Session but has never had an offical release. It appears on various boots in various guises as it was demo'd a few times, but the best version is still the Peel one.

From what I understand, it was never released as a single because when the demo version "leaked" out, Andy didn't think it worthwhile to compete with the "unofficial" release.

Oh, same old same old - "well there are so many bootlegs on the market - whats the point of releasing anything new?"markfiend wrote:From what I understand, it was never released as a single because when the demo version "leaked" out, Andy didn't think it worthwhile to compete with the "unofficial" release.
I never talk during music, at least during good music. If one hears bad music, it is one's duty to drown it in conversation.
