Doctor Who exhibition

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

wouldn't have been much of an exhibition sans one, any Cybermen?

There was a Cyberman costume (modern style 'glass jaw' model), but it was behind a screen and you could only see it when you pushed the appropriate button to light it up. I guess it stopped people touching it.

The Dalek, however, was fully visible (and active), and was the one from the recent Ecclestone adventure. :)

I'd marry anyone who took me there.

Subtle hint...or a threat? Who knows?

I've been looking for more pics, and apart from the ones here and here I can't find any (the Dalek was surreptitiously snapped by Libby on her phone).

Edit: some good pics here: clicky

Most of the exhibits are from the new series, entry is £5, and it's on until November:
The Exhibition featurse an unrivaled array of material from the new series. The production team have given Experience Design unprecidented access to props, models, designs, costumes and creatures to feature in the Exhibition. Together these form one of the most outstanding collections ever seen from a single series. And what a series it has turned out to be!

Exhibits include items featured in the first six episodes including the fantastic Moxx of Balhoon, Slitheen, Autons, Jabe, many of Platform One's guest list and not forgetting a certain Pig.

In addition there are models and drawings fresh from the design department (including the Tardis interior model) plus video and cgi clips showing the miriad special effects. You can see at first hand the actual Auton Liar effects model as well as Big Ben. Cassandra with the Face of Boe will be passing through and the producers have also kindly released both Christopher Eccleston's and Billie Piper's costumes for the first time.

Special arrangements have also been made to see the latest incarnation of the Doctor's most famous enemy - in all their glory. Watch this space for updates as more items from future episodes join what should prove to be the exhibition of a lifetime here in Brighton for 2005. It's bigger on the inside........

That episode is obviously set a couple of years in the future. So the dalek's still got 2 years before it self destructs. Obviously.

And, er, they hwent forward in time to get the destroyed one too:

While we're on the subject (kind of) - the Slitheen. The cg ones looked pretty threatening, the latex ones with the heads bobbing about looked like It's An Alien Knockout....

(On telly of course, I've not been to the exhibition. Yet.)

that's the one from the exhibition. Yeah, they did look silly.

NOTE: Apparently they will keep adding exhibits until the middle of July when all 13 epsiodes of the new series will be represented (each episiode will be represented AFTER it has been broadcast). Travellers from Leeds, Sheffield and Gallifrey may wish to wait until then to get the full benefit of their visit

Should that not be "take your pick"?
