Not being a big fan I didn't want to be the first to say that ...Begemot wrote:You didn't miss much. They were embarassingly bad....
Loki was never worshiped as the other Gods,
Which is quite understandable.

Well I am a fan and I hate to say this, but they were rather bad. It didn't help having that man 'singing' making them sound ten times worse.
Only a paand.

I've never particularly been a fan and was watching it with someone who's probably never even heard of New Order. Her question was "Is that what passes for music these days?".
I couldn't disagree.

I've always quite liked their stuff (although more of a fan of Joy Division)but have always thought that they were a let-down live. Barnie is a lovely bloke but can't sing in tune Maybe its nerves - bless him
I never talk during music, at least during good music. If one hears bad music, it is one's duty to drown it in conversation.

I'm a big New Order fan, but I would have to admit that their last essential album was Technique way, way back in 1989. Everything since then has been a bit too 'New Order by numbers' IMHO. They always manage to release strong singles, but the album tracks compare poorly. (again IMHO)
In all fairness, it must be very difficult to consistantly release good new material for 25 years.

Give me one good reason
Just watched this, OMG they were feckin' TERRIBLE! One of the worst live performances I've ever seen, of any band. Hooky looked especially embarrassed at the end. Made Oasis last week look good, and that's no mean feat these days.
Mind, Ana Matronic was looking damn fine, but then when doesn't she?

'Ooky was on Pop World on Sunday, doing the singles review. "Tool box jury" -- reviewing singles using ...erm... the size of the tool as a visual aid.
Come to think of it, the Jetstream single was on too. I'm not a huge fan

Very funny program that, Popworld, I usually catch the late night repeat. Juliette Lewis was on toolbox jury last week, very, very strange woman, she seemed loaded, and I don't mean rich.markfiend wrote:'Ooky was on Pop World on Sunday
