Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Truly amazing match. Like most people, at half time I thought it was going to just be an embarrassment. But those brilliant six minutes in the second half... and those Dudek saves - give that man a medal, and an earldom, or something!

It was a bit sad for a Chelsea fan, thinking what if?, but I'm very happy for the scousers and it's nice to have the trophy back in England. Hooray!

:notworthy:  Let's just be thankful the fans didn't push a wall over onto some Italian fans and get everyone else kicked out of European club football.

Again. :innocent:

Having said that, any team that goes 3-0 down against AC Milan and still wins diving for penalties notwithstanding deserves the trophy I guess.

Aye, but such trophies generally look like this :innocent:

That said, I was only listening to the BBC Radio Merseyside commentary, so I didn't hear a neutral take on the penalty decision and wasn't able to look for myself ;)

Serve's me right I suppose for the 15 minute bout of pissing myself uncontrollably at half-time.

So thank me scousers, not that gerrard chancer.

In actual fact, thank kewell for helpfully hobbling off so 'rafa' :urff: could have a much needed rethink.

And though it sticks in the throat like you wouldn't believe, coming back like that is worthy some acknowledgement. Consider it acknowledged.

I think Goths (and not everyone here is...) do have a bit of an aversion to physical exercise of the non-bed variety, but I think the Goth Bible may allow one to WATCH it, preferably whilst sipping cider and black... I don't know, because I haven't been to Goth Church for a long time.

Sorry to burst your bubble and that, but part of the bi-annually WGW includes A Goth V Townies football match. The Goth's shirts last year were black and sponsored by a funeral directors! They don't come much goffick than that!!

Hey! At least I suggested you were pretty. I can be much more offensive if you're going to carry on like that

Was a football fan long before I felt pressured into denying I might be a goth.

Still waiting for dinner. Though the Hammerette did give me a bottle of wine at lunchtime.

Nah, everyone knows cricket is the ultimate goth-pastime. White is the Japanese colour of death, is it not? And those jockstraps   Pure fetishist perversion if ever I've felt it.

Great for the Hus. Is his birthday today and he has been a fan for nearly 40 years - so he confesses. Can't thing of a better present.

Quote from the Mish newspage below:
I know that most of you who read these postings on MWIS are really only interested in news about The Mish but this is my website, after all, and I am able, if I feel so inclined, to comment about anything if the fancy takes me.
So, please, indulge me.
Football. Now I know that a fair proportion of you don't give a damn about the 'beautiful game' but on Thursday it's my birthday and the perfect gift for me would be for Liverpool to beat AC Milan in Istanbul on Wednesday night in the Champion's league final.
I've been a Liverpool supporter for 40 years now, since the 1965 FA cup final, in fact, when we beat Leeds 2-1. And during that time Liverpool have won countless trophies and graced the game with some of the best teams and players ever to have played football.
But I cannot remember ever being as excited, or nervous, about a game as much as I am about this year's Champion's League final. Win or lose, I am proud of the Red men, proud that they are once again playing at the highest level of club football.
I would like to use this website as a forum to make public my best wishes to the team, and all the supporters that have the good fortune to being going to the game in Istanbul. Bring us home the cup......
You'll never walk alone.....
Cheers,
Wayne
Bless...
