Entertain a pretty lady!

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

My heartlanders...

I am seriously f**king IN NEED OF ENTERTAINMENT.

That's how you're supposed to feel on a Sunday afternoon.

Geee, how I know these boring sundays... :(
but not today! I recommend to go to the flea-market, sell old crap and buy funny new singles:"Giving Ground", "Dominion" (+ Untitled + Sandstorm, which I never heard before) and "No Time To Cry"- Maxi. All together for 3 Euros. :notworthy:

After all those ebay years, I forgot how much fun it can be to "live"-trade.

They don't have funky bohemian outdoor markets (or indoor ones, for that matter) here in Glasgow... :(

Just "The Barras".

Mmmh, what about frolic around in the nature and snuffle on flowers? Or you don't have that either in Glasgow?

Flowers? Nature? Glasgow?

Although the leafy delights of Bearsden may be very different. I was too common to be allowed in.

Good purchases there Canon :notworthy:

Being the typical vinyl-junkie that I am, me mum's taking me to a large car boot sale tomorrow morning, and then another on Sunday.

Which reminds me, I had to ask you all a question:

There's some Sisters bootleg 7"s on eBay (All Along The Watchtower has that giant medley on it, and there's the "Live" one with Gimme Gimme Gimme and Sister Ray (introduced by some odd German and American voices)) and the Floorshow EP.
Should I buy them? These are highly attractive bootlegs, and even if I -do- have them as low bitrate mp3s, would it be worth it?

(You should know I fully intend to get at least one of them, but still..) ;)

I must say frolicking does appeal, but one cannot frolick on one's own, can one? :innocent:

Sorry, i'm confused (doesn't take a lot); where does the 'pretty lady' bit come in?

And you missed the 'Faster Pussycat ...' from your red comments :von:

  if you don't mind sharing it with a cat or two.

although my place is surrounded by fences, razor wire, safety gates and burglar bars I cannot promise you safety from an angry Scot.

Back to the problem at hand. Watch The Big Lebowski. Better yet go bowling, it seems to cure everything.

Yes BUT...

... they always amused me for some reason.

Oh yes, because they're s**t.

And it appears the Sisters modelled their VT getup on the cover of that record. :innocent:

If it's anything like Milngavie I'll pass. And yes, I do know how to pronounce Milngavie. That was a disappointment to so many people at the time.

If I was starting from Jordanhill I might be persuaded back to have another look.

I'm travelling any further than that for it, though. Sorry.

Go buy everything released by Jay Munly. Then listen to it. Over and over and over.

Here's a start: http://www.smoochrecords.com/audio/Munl ... er_You.mp3
