Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

but...i can reveal the source of S_S's flames...
they are his socks burning in purgatory...
Dim, through the misty panes and thick green light,

Love is a burning thing
and it makes a firery ring
bound by wild desire
I fell in to a ring of fire...
I fell in to a burning ring of fire
I went down,down,down
and the flames went higher.
And it burns,burns,burns
the ring of fire
the ring of fire.
The taste of love is sweet
when hearts like our's meet
I fell for you like a child
oh, but the fire went wild..
I fell in to a burning ring of fire.....[etc]
Dim, through the misty panes and thick green light,
As under a green sea, I saw him drowning.

I've said it before, I'll say it again:
Johnny Cash -- The Ultimate Goth
Wearing black and singing songs about death and religion.
The fundamental cause of the trouble is that in the modern world the stupid are cocksure while the intelligent are full of doubt.

Hey, I'm not knocking it. The Man In Black is one of my all time favourites. I grew up on his music and it probably influenced me in becoming a Goth. His biography is the next in my list of things to read.

Or, my attempts at transcribing a certain band's song:
Burn It Down (now in "Igniscolour")
Catherine wheel, a ring of fire
The bullets grow cold
And the flames grow higher
Chase the yellow
Chase the gold
The orange and the white lie in the soul
The juggling men and the idiot clowns
We will burn this circus to the ground
Cause some day I hope to turn
And stand and watch this city
Burning down
Chase the yellow
Chase the gold
The orange and the white lie in the soul, soul, soul...
Burn it!
Burn it!
Burn it!
Burn It Down!

Johnny Cash
i just have to look at the lyrics and i'm off singing to my self...can't help it...
but i have to say that the version by
Wall Of Voodoo was most excellent too
and is well worth hunting down...
*infact...IMO any band who went on tour with
The Lords Of The New Church back in 86 deserves to be awarded with a medal of honour*
