You Couldn't Make It Up...

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Got out of my (black) car after work the other day, resplendant in (black) MR shirt and (black) combats. Shades a neccessity due to bastard hayfever. Kid from over the road pulls up next to me on his bike and asks in total innocence;

"Are you a Gangster..?"

...You couldn't make it up, could you?

p.s. I'm not.

Yeah yeah. That's what I try to tell them. It's not fooling anyone is it? ;)

It isn't

And then when you take them off to prove it, they go like 'oh, so you're a vampire, too, I see...'

Wait till August 8. I bought a hawaiian shirt and 'teensletsen' just for the Lokerse Feesten hehe...

Well you lot should have some idea.

Obviously it won't affect you lot languishing in whatever division you're in these days, but the individual TV deal he'll sort will have a detrimental knock-on to everyone else.

Until he's gone, I couldn't care less. With 50% increased ticket prices and worse players over time, it's a wonder anyone will turn up at all. The sooner that happens the better. C**t.

I have heard only some "Highlander" and some "Neo / Matrix" notes about myself earlier.
Now I'm just a very simple guy, hope strangers don't notice me anymore.

I mentioned this before on a previous 'heckles' thread, but it probably bears re-telling.

Wearing black T-shirt, black jeans, black boots, black leather bikers jacket, and black shades (not as a fashion statement, it was a very sunny day).

A bunch of workmen hanging over some scaffolding started shouting

"Hasta la vista, baby!"

and

"He'll be back!

8)

:urff:  That really is uncharacteristically witty for Glaswegian builders.
Ah... the patter...

Best I've ever had off that particular profession is "cheer up love!"
To which I reply "Go get yerself a proper job..."

God, I could compile a book of the "amusing" comments that have been made to me over the years. :von:

I never talk during music, at least during good music. If one hears bad music, it is one's duty to drown it in conversation.

Old hands of Heartland - is there any other kind? - will know the wide array of comments I receive regarding my beloved, battered, Fedora.

People suck.
