just found this site

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

 See - even as a young(ish) woman (I was 23) - I just stood back and let others do such things  (Always have been more a voyeur than an active participant ).

Mind you, could have done with a better view - we were on the balcony to the side (not that I even considered for a second jumping off)

;D

Don't get me started about how great Newcastle used to be  Worked at the Riverside in the diner so saw loads of the bands (except missed Nirvana ).........went to the Mayfaid every Saturday (to the Gearbox in the small room).

Yep - they've torn down most of the good pubs/ clubs including the Farmers Arms, the Mayfair and the Broken Doll. They have turned it into "chav central" and I don't go there very often  As you can see - I look for my alternative community elsewhere :D

.........but I'm not bitter ;D

Yep - nostaligia is a wonderful thing ;D

I found the dialect really difficult when I first arrived (17 odd years ago) - seriously couldn't understand some of the older ones  But its definitely grown on me

......... and I swear like a trooper now - thanks to that dialect (its all part of the charm   ).
