Motley Crue + Killing Joke

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Very rock'n'roll weekend indeed! Went to see Motley Crue supported by Killing Joke at Wembley Arena. Unfortunately, because of pre-gig drinks, tube problems, heat and the fact that doors were at 7.30 and Killing Joke started their set at 7:15, we MISSED the support! How pathetic is that? But, Motley were great, really funny, we thought that we were back in the 80s!!! ;D Also, we felt like one of the youngest people there 8)

Mötley Crüe rocks... I think. I missed all the albums after Girls, girls, girls. But I was thinking of buying their best of-DVD to bring myself up to date.

Now there's an idea: to make a DVD with interviews and promo videos. I bet it sells good too. Everyone seems to be doing it. Almost.

I have just been looking at the gig photos, and am impressed how HOT those boys are. Still!!! There is something about boys, leather and denim, isn't there?

Bloody Killing Joke - they canceled their Estonian gig
Well, now the festival is over. I will never know was it so good as some people told. I wasn't there. Neither Mesh nor 69 Eyes could make me take part in a festival.

Saw Motley Crue in Manchester......

Got there....seemed a bit empty. Killing Joke.... awful sound and why they were supporting Crue was a mystery to me and the rest of the audience who just didnt appreciate them at all... but they played Pandemonium so i was happy.

Wasnt expecting much at all fom Crue as the US reviews said they were awful.

They kicked of and by 3 songs in i was blown away by how well they were pulling it off!!! Fantastic, real pre-goth sleaze metal sould stirred somewhere down deep. Wehen mick Mars soloed yhe guitar was actually ramped unlike a lot of modern groups... classic after classic.

Hope they play again next year.

As fellow Smurph Ian said "Ya know, that was better than we had any right to expect".... and hell it was!!!

Paddy.
Still playing guitar - sometimes weird shaped ones.

he he..... well i was stood at the sound desk(just in front of!!) and they didnt look too much like portly old men.... even Vince looked fairly trim!!!!

Just hearing Tommy Lee play was enough for me to be honest.... those are 4 musos who should always just play together and sack everything else. Trull the whole is bigger than the sum of the parts.

And to say Mick Mars has a degenerativ bone disease and is nearly 60.... well, hope i have that much balls at his age!
