Gold records

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Years ago, a musician interviewed on TV claimed that he scratched the surface of the gold record he was awarded, only to find that it was another band's album, cheaply spray-painted gold.

I was always skeptical about this, thinking that maybe the guy was indulging in a playful leg-pull, but, no, when I asked a member of Simple Minds about his own gold discs, he said they do just spray any old vinyl disc.

So there you go, some useless trivia for y'all.
