Is there anything better than listening to cricket on the radio and reading the Sunday papers with a nice cup of tea?

Listening to Velvet Revolver on the stereo and reading the random musings of an assorted bunch of weirdos and crackpots (also known as this place) with a nice bottle of Steinlager.

I'm having a rather perfect mid-winters weekend weather
Had the best calamari at a very nice sea-front resturant yesterday and today I've been walking around the forest in cargo shorts and a tee. Cape Town ain't sooooooooo bad.

Finishing a lunch of salami, feta cheese and sundried tomatos, chatting to a friend on MSN, lurking on Heartland, with The Velvet Underground And Nico in the background, and a packet of Refreshers to eat.

Lying naked on a couch, sipping a shanty while the sun shines on the fragrant, glistening skin of two beautiful girls as they sit next to me smoking their sweaty cigars.

Lucky you lot. Gorgeous weekend in Leeds, granted, but spoilt slightly by...
Sat : losing at cricket after bowling the oppo's to 66 for 6 (ooh, the irony) - they regrouped, plus I was knackered, to post 172 - 7 to beat our 169. B@stards!
Sun : Hawthorn hedge-trimming all day. Why oh why someone bothered inventing barbed-wire is anybodies guess.
Still, at least the garden looks the part once more. Must be time to pop round to Nick The Stripper's fantasy.

It bloody well does, sonny. Especially after bowling 19 overs in yesterdays heat, it does.
I need another lie down.

Well I spent most of today sitting on the train back from Galactic Central (Brighton), but yesterday was damn near perfect for me . We found a tenner blowing along the pavement so treated ourselves to a nice lunch then later I got taken to a lovely vegetarian/vegan restaurant and had a nice stroll on Brighton Pier. Wonderful. And all this was with a gorgeous man!

I've been busy installing a radio down here because the downstairs one's finally moved to my place...
Man, it really was hell to let the right cables stay in place, and take the others off
And now there's been nothing done on my room yet
On the brighter side: Had great meals (again), and the weather wasn't all that bad at all

did the sumerland 7" ever get to be worth anything? i seem to recall it was released for 1 week only in a blatent bid to make everyone buy it at the same time, thus getting it into the charts.ruffers wrote:Are some of those worth more then? The Sisters of Mercy - First and Last and Always LP (Ltd Ed Gatefold), and
Fields of the Nephilim - Earth Inferno double LP
are both worth more than £2 each, especially the former.
There is if the Ozzies give us a good tonking. I will give this pursuit another try on Tuesday for the final - but maybe substitute beer - but if we lose it's back to avoiding direct sunlight and moaning about the un-English weatherruffers wrote:Is there anything better than listening to cricket on the radio and reading the Sunday papers with a nice cup of tea?
