Sorry I went missing again...

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

...but I've been terribly depressed because of my mom's illness, and I've not really wanted to talk to anyone. I took a week off of work and went home to Connecticut to be with her while she was in the hospital following her surgery, and to offer the rest of the family moral support. She's just had her first (of 6) chemotherapy treatment, so it's a waiting game now, unfortunately... Incidentally, it's not recurrent breast cancer after all, but advanced ovarian cancer, instead. I'm devastated.

Sorry to be so morbid, folks... :(

The fundamental cause of the trouble is that in the modern world the stupid are cocksure while the intelligent are full of doubt.

Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

I never talk during music, at least during good music. If one hears bad music, it is one's duty to drown it in conversation.

Hugs to my favourite non-ginger moderator. I know it's not quite the same, but I'm watching my Dad slowly degrade with Altzheimer's at the moment. You feel so helpless don't you...
And you know that she's half crazy but that's why you want to be there.
