Ringtones and stuff

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

So it's that upgrade time of year...

Just got a Nokia 6680 so the next thing to do is to start making Ringtones.

Obviously I using "Incoming" from the end of Ribbons for Texts (although I think this is going to become irritating after a while!)

If anyone wants it :

And I'm finding that the Sisters Website samples are quite good as ringtones coz they are small files. Currently using Neverland.

My phone is always on Silent.

Although on my old phone (which was also almost always Silent), I alternated between the theme tune to Final Fantasy VII, Temple Of Love, and Tainted Love (all monophonic, it was a 3310)

Got that right, I have all the ones for PSX, and am gonna start collecting the PS2 and GBA ones. Maybe even original versions on NES/SNES.

I know, I'm an obsessive, but FFVII was the first game that captured my imagination, and I've never played a better game since. ;)

being a pay-as-you -go-er,and tight,i don't get yearly upgrades,so i'm still using a samsung a800.the only polyphonic sisters tone i have found for it is Temple of Love.it's not as bad as it could be,but it definitely employs erm, artistic licence, shall we say.
Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

it's got to be said that rock tunes seem to transfer to polyphonic pretty badly.i've got hilarious versions of "number of the beast" and "smells like teen spirit".
"golden brown" on the other hand sounds brilliant-they've even got that minor chord change between the opening phrase and the verse spot-on.

Rock, eh..?

A Rock And A Hard Place, maybe.. or at least the demo/disco mix. Might sound quite good.

There's some MIDI ringtones available (if you have a WAP-enabled phone) at http://www.markfiend.com/fone/tones.wml that a certain quiffmeister let me have.

My mum has the 'ancient phone ringtone' on hers

Meanwhile I'm still on Giving Ground as I'm saving for a new phone (you actually have to buy them in Belgium, they're not allowed to give them away for free)

Is that k750i of yours any good, rian :innocent: ?
