Shame it sucks though. I now have a real microphone. Now, for the drum machine so we can better keep in time. Although the few timing issues are more down to it being mostly improvised. Oh well.

I sound like Chriss Isaac meets Billy Idol when I sing and I'm becoming quite the lyricist, if I do say so myself.

I'm currently working on a song that I know is good because the few people I've played it to have said to me that they can't get the bloody tune out of their head and asked if I could give them a copy.

Rosalie, I liked the sound of the guitar in your music and did I hear a wind instrument at one point? I Love wind instruments.

Yes, my band's called Tierkreis, the keyboardist is getting back from America this weekend, and next week we're finishing our EP.
And there's a sample of one song on the forum if you sign up on it.

And according to Motz, "they make rather a nice noise". I think the same could be said for his own one.

We love our flutin' too. You would have heard the shakuhachi flute in Burning Ambition. It's a japanese flute, but the song sounds kind of chinese. Weird. If you liked that, you'll LOVE Wind Butterfly. I'll hook you up with it as soon as I get a proper download page up. Also has an oddly asian ring to it.

It's all flutes' n' clangy guitar.

Unfortunately, all our flutes are on keys, because my Roland U-20 is so good at acoustic instruments, or the few it actually does, anyway. I might get a real flute at some point, but I'd need about 5 people, possibly a 6th with one up their nose, to recreate that song on real flutes.

I can play the flute to a more than reasonable standard (grade 6 infact), but I haven't played it properly for so long I doubt I would immediately be up to my old standard

Oh, and I can play the digeridoo until I run out of breath. Can't get the hang of circular breathing

The first instrument I ever acquired was a Stylophone which I've still got - anyone else remember these wonderful relics from the 1970's? It sounds great when put through my 4x12 cab with some delay and chorus. You can play 'Marian' on it, as well as a few other Sisters tunes.
These days I can be seen & heard making a racket in a band called Rhombus.

For Greater Good is the main project for the moment.

We (as it evolved from a solo project towards a three-piece collective) make some kind of ambient/soundtrack music. Sometimes dark as hell, sometimes light as a feather.

Also involved in some minor mixing and master thingies with small projects from befriended musicians.

As a person, I play the piano, keyboards, synths, trumpet, bugle, tin whistle, flute, drums, percussion and I try to sing sometimes.

I don't like to gloat. I'm just a damn fine musician

i started paying the drums 24 years ago,aged 11.after convincing my music teacher that i really,really wasn't cut-out for the trombone,i started getting tuition from an old hippy -who happened to have played on the sgt.peppers sessions (though not the recordings).
in return for this i was obliged to play for the leics. schools orchestras-which included touring germany and france a couple of times each.

i've played drums for numerous punk and metal bands,none of whom you've heard of.for a short time i played bass for a thrash/death metal band called Headwound (who i hope you've never heard of).

Nope. Tried to learn to play the guitar when I was 16 - gave up after about 3 months, because I was so frustrated I pretty much wanted to smash the bejeezus outta the thing. Couldn't learn to read music, anyway. I have zero patience, and my tolerance for frustration is nil, so... Alas. And all I ever really wanted to do was have a band. Ironic, eh?

I can sorta sing, but I don't have the guts to do it in public.

you know how it is...one minute you're on a "roll",then the next thing you know,"CRASH"! the "ride"s over and you re caught in their "snare".if you dont "stick" with it then its your head on the "block".the only way to "beat" the system is to "para-diddle" your tax returns!
