I'm back

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Had a great trip. Will provide pics and anecdotes when I'm a bit more alert (if people are all that interested).

Until someone informs me otherwise I'm assuming that my combined travels secure me the largest land empire and population in Heartland history - taking the countries involved it would share borders with Norway and Vietnam - which is nice. Don't start re-writing songs for me, though. I'll get offended.

What did I miss? I heard we won the Olympics and got blown up, but the rest is largely speculative.

Very unfair - I wouldn't have a 'tache at all if it wasn't for China's strange plugs which weren't compatible with my shaver.

For obvious reasons I'm not going to start attacking my face with Chinese razor-blades, so I'm having a Dominion moment.

Don't be too hasty; a good chinwig can make you look a million dollars!

Mine, on the other hand, was £2.99 from the charidee shop.

It's not a honeymoon! (Well not yet anyway  ) Personally I can't think of a more romantic place than Red Square in the snow......

Girl in every port? Not that picky? Pah!

More romantic than Red Square in the snow .... you could try Krasnoyarsk in a heat wave but I wouldn't dream of commenting on that.

I did have a chance to check about trains between Moscow and Georgia, and it's not good news. At the moment there are trains running into the Caucasus but not beyond. You can still go to Grozny if you want.

This might change, but I wouldn't hold your breath.

Wow thanks Andy :notworthy: We changed our minds in the end and we have decided to have a week in St Petersburg instead!
