For Those at the Pub

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

I think we can safely say that some recordings were made.

Shame I missed On The Wire, Dominion and part of War On Drugs while I was in the bar and loo.

My camera seems to have done a better job of recording the sound than it did at Bloc Party. Image It's not brilliant, but for those "alternative source" completeists... :innocent:

Is that whiring or whiNing? Although I do love to hear boots of gigs I've attended - the whining and snarling you get if you inadvertandly whoop or hollah near 'em, from 'leggers' is a bit of a pain

As I've already had 3 PMs asking me for trades of my recording of last night...

I'm going to upload it somewhere and just let anyone/everyone download it.

I have edited out the ten minutes which involved me going to the loo and getting a pint

the raw audio from my camera is only 8 bit 8 kHz mono Wav file, so 78 minutes and 4 seconds (including audience noise at each end) is only 36 meg.

Before "Romeo Down" there's a bit of banter going on between Von and the crowd. It's hard to hear some of the banter because it's a bit muffled. If anyone from the gig last night could transcribe what they were saying, I'll be most grateful.

Got to say that was an excellent venue. Mrs Snowey actually got to see the whole gig (well she spent all of it on the ledge on the left hand side with me standing on a stool next to her).
