I go to metal concerts to mosh and surf the crowds knowing full well I'm going to ache afterwards, but purely for the incredible rush in my head when I enter the venue and must run full pelt into the other metallers, jump when I'm tackled, scream "Where the hell's the support!?" and curl up whilst 20 other people are trying to kill me via suffocation and crushing.
Occasionally, though, I just make it to the stage, and dive and score, and that makes the whole thing worthwhile.

I prefer playing with golf scores based on kit hygiene.Dark wrote:I play rugby knowing full well I'm going to ache afterwards, but purely for the incredible rush in my head when I get the ball and must run full pelt into the other team, jump when I'm tackled, scream "Where the hell's the support!?" and curl up whilst 20 other people are trying to kill me via suffocation and crushing.

You missed the bit where gangs of fat blokes throw their arms around each other then stick their faces between each other's legs?emilystrange wrote:not any game i've ever seen...
Decidedly odd. You don't get it in Rugby League, where players are rewarded for pace and skill rather than their ability to lie on top of the ball or hoof it off the field.

@IZ - You see...we do have certain things in common when it comes to the sports!!!
@nick the stripper - yeah swimming is amazing and do not even consider that rugby of the kind I know....unless you can run really quickly and have one of the guys in the back watching and shadowing you!
B knows all the erotic types...trust me (of sports that is...) and sport in general is indeed NOT erotic...depending if you play by the rules that is...

LET ME JUST MAKE ONE THING ABSOLUTELY CLEAR AT THIS POINT...
*I* do not gain any... um, enjoyment... from watching overgrown potato-heads shoving their noses up each other's arses.
It just strikes me that some individuals might. The players themselves seem to rather relish wearing their teammates' bollocks as earmuffs. They jump on each other with such gusto one can't help but think they're having just a bit TOO much fun.
"Contact sport"... it's all a bit touchy-feely if you ask me...
I'm just saying.

Boudicca shatters hearts all over the Heartland dating agency by rejecting notions of anything 'touchy-feely'.

i used to enjoy sports when i was younger -before i discovered the sisters and substance abuse- but only participating.i was a fairly good boxer, and played rugby for a local club.at that age union is still quite a skillful game rather than a who's-got-the-biggest-meathead slug-fest.i even ran for the county once -now i couldn't run a bath without needing a rest!
but i have never enjoyed watching any sport really.football of course being the exception to the rule...and these days i can only be arsed if Liverpool are playing,or it's a cup-final.

Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

I'm sure it will re-surface soon enough. Hopefully toting links to sites about chubby cherubs or plump fairies to inspire a few more cheap shots.
